Johanna began her career in the hospital sector, where she advised care teams and patients on the implementation of regulations. In addition to ensuring the legal follow-up of involuntary care measures, Johanna collaborated with various stakeholders, including judicial and administrative authorities, developing in-depth expertise in medical liability, patient rights, and litigation management. She also conducted training sessions for healthcare professionals on various topics such as hospital law, medical law, and managing interactions with the healthcare industry.
Subsequently, Johanna transitioned into the regulatory compliance sector as a compliance lawyer for a software provider dedicated to pharmaceutical laboratories. There, she contributed to projects related to the French Anti-Gift Law (LEA) and transparency of conflicts of interest (TLI), providing legal insight and working on the compliance of scientific events. She also led a team responsible for LEA/TLI mandatory submissions for partner pharmaceutical laboratories.
In 2021, Johanna joined an international pharmaceutical group, AstraZeneca, where she took on the responsibility for CrossBorder activities. In this role, she helped international subsidiaries comply with local requirements for international scientific projects involving healthcare professionals practicing in France, while ensuring the application of French regulations.
In addition to her professional activities, Johanna has been a member of an association dedicated to quality and risk management in healthcare facilities for over 15 years.
Since September 2024 at ATESSIA, Johanna contributes to a variety of missions, such as legal advice on regulations regarding the Anti-Gift Law, transparency of conflicts of interest, compliance in relationships with healthcare professionals, and personal data protection. She also brings her expertise on the responsibilities of exploiters, their subcontractors, and the compliance of relationships with health influencers and other healthcare stakeholders. Johanna is involved in the legal review of activities related to clinical trials, contracts, and agreements, while contributing to the compliance of internal and external processes. She also participates in regulatory monitoring.
